Application

The Aluminium Drum Diffuser is a high-capacity supply air diffuser designed for long-throw air distribution in large open spaces with high ceilings. The cylindrical drum and adjustable internal aerofoil blades provide precise control of airflow direction in both horizontal and vertical planes, making it ideal for cooling, heating, and ventilation in commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
Material & Construction Specifications
- Frame: High-grade extruded aluminium alloy profiles. Standard flange width is 40mm.
- Drum Body: Formed from heavy-gauge aluminium sheets and specialized profiles, seated within the outer frame via low-friction mechanical fasteners to allow smooth pivoting.
- Blades: Individually adjustable aerofoil extruded aluminium blades mounted inside the drum body for secondary lateral air deflection.
- Sealing: Optional foam gasket sealed around the back of the outer frame to prevent air bypass leakage.
- Standard Finish: white powder coating (e.g., RAL 9010 / RAL 9016) or natural anodized aluminium. Custom RAL color shades
🔄 Operational Capabilities
- Vertical Adjustment: The primary drum can be manually or motor-rotated vertically up to ±30° (total 60° range) to shift the air throw up or down depending on seasonal heating or cooling requirements.
- Horizontal Deflection: Internal aerofoil blades can be manipulated individually by hand to spread or concentrate the air stream horizontally.
- Volume Control: Often integrated with an attached Opposed Blade Damper (OBD) made of galvanized steel or aluminium, easily adjustable with a screwdriver directly through the front face of the diffuser.
