Product Description
The GI Motorized Fire Damper is a fire and smoke control device designed to prevent the spread of fire through HVAC duct systems. It is installed where ducts penetrate fire-rated walls, floors, and partitions. Under normal operating conditions, the damper remains open. Upon receiving a signal from the building fire alarm system, smoke detector, or when the temperature exceeds the rated limit (through an optional thermal release device), the electric actuator automatically closes the damper to isolate the fire compartment and prevent the passage of flames and hot gases.
Motorized fire dampers are widely used in commercial, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and institutional buildings requiring automatic fire protection.
